yesterday i had the chance to catch up and hang out with my buddy joe and his wife penny. had a great time and picked up pretty much where we left off the last time we hung out. we even had aaron along - just a great time overall and nobody wet their pants. the name zappa kept coming up. it reminded me of this bit from the monkees.

a rich tapestry of sideburns and old guy weirdness

conway twitty had a great voice and recorded some of the cheesiest country music of all-time. tight fittin' jeans? singing songs about taking a girl's virginity when you're in your 40's and sort of bloated? let's try to erase that and just enjoy the good stuff(and laugh at the wardrobe):

i can't believe it

i am crazy about leonard cohen and this is one of my favorite songs of his. it played over the opening credit sequence in McCabe and Mrs. Miller, one of my favorite films. anyway - unbelievable how many cool people are posting artifacts on youtube.
